Valentine’s Day comes from several sources, one of the main ones being Saint Valentine, a Roman priest from the 3rd century who was executed on February 14th for defying Emperor Claudius II by secretly marrying couples. Claudius believed that single men made better soldiers, so he banned marriages for young men. In addition to this legend, Valentine’s Day is also associated with the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, celebrated in mid-February. This festival involved various rituals to promote fertility and included a lottery in which young men would draw the names of women to pair with for the duration of the festival. Over time, these traditions evolved, and by the Middle Ages, February 14th became recognized as a day for expressing love and affection, leading to the modern celebration we know today.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated onFebruary 14th in England. It is a day to express love and affection towards friends, family, and romantic partners.People often give cards, flowers(especially roses), chocolates, and small gifts to show they care. Many couples go out for dinner or spend quality time together. The day is named after Saint Valentine, a Christian martyr, although the modern celebration is more about love and friendship. Schools and workplaces sometimes have special activities, and it is widely celebrated across the country.

In some English-speaking countries, students are graded with letters (A, B, C) instead of numbers. This system could reduce student stress by focusing on the quality of the work rather than just a number.
For example, an A indicates excellent work, while a C shows room for improvement, without the negative connotation. This system would be more motivating and encouraging, promoting a more constructive approach to assessment.
Example:
> French student: “I got a 3/20, I’m so disappointed, I really worked hard, and it’s frustrating to see my efforts
> English student in the U.S.: » got a C, but I know I’ll improve, I’ll work harder and get a better grade next time. »
The school system in the United States offers more freedom: students choose their subjects as early as high school and are assessed throughout the year, which reduces the pressure of final exams. Schedules vary by school, but generally, school days last about 7 hours, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. However, this system creates inequalities between schools, especially between public and private ones.
In France, the system is stricter, with a fixed curriculum that ensures a solid general education. Schedules are often longer, with days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, sometimes even more. There is a strong focus on final exams, such as the Bac, and students must choose a track early, which leaves less room for diversity in subjects. In summary, the American school system is more flexible and creative, but can lack equality, while the French system is more rigorous and structured, but with more pressure and less freedom.
For some years Yavné has introduced tablets from the 6th
> Advantage : it is an advantage for students because it is easier to use than paper versions and for teachers it avoids printing photocopies
> Disadvantage: often students are more focused on the screen than on the teacher’s voice they can play and this causes a lack of concentration .
Tablets can be essential but disruptive.
Argument for their existence
> High probability : The universe is vast, with billions of planets. The likelihood of life elsewhere is therefore very high. The Drake Equation suggests there could be many extraterrestrial civilizations.
> Recent discoveries : Exoplanets in the « habitable zone » and organic molecules have been found in space, indicating that conditions for life might exist elsewhere.
> Unexplained phenomena: Many UFO sightings remain unexplained. While this doesn’t prove extraterrestrial life, it raises questions about phenomena we can’t fully explain.
Argument against their existence
> The Fermi Paradox: If the universe is so vast, why haven’t we found evidence of extraterrestrials? The absence of contact may suggest that they don’t exist or are too far away.
> Lack of concrete evidence: Despite extensive research, we still don’t have any tangible proof of extraterrestrial life. Most UFO sightings are linked to human errors or military experiments.
> Technological limitations: We don’t yet have the technology to detect signs of extraterrestrial life, making it difficult to draw conclusions about their existence.
Conclusion
The debate is still open. Scientific clues are intriguing, but we lack definitive proof. The question of extraterrestrial life remains one of the universe’s greatest mysteries.
Dvorah : Do you think AI is good at school?
Liron : I don’t think so because the students don’t know how to use it and are only looking for answers.
Nathane : I have mixed feelings on the subject because there are positive and negative points: Positive: it can help us in all kinds of matter and give us good answers well trained Negatives: It can dehumanize students’ learning and I agree with Liron on the fact that it can give answers too difficult to understand and stupid.
Elina : If we use AI well, it can be a good tool for the education and learning of students in difficulty ex: By giving explanations, answers, courses that are easier to understand than those of the teacher.
Dvorah : I think that it can help students in difficulty evolve, it can also distract us by giving us answers that are too difficult to understand.
To conclude : AI is a good tool that is difficult to use, it can be useful at times for difficult situations for students, but it is hard to be able to trust the students in the contradictory case ex: asking for answers, texts, essays.
> Sagittaire : Shoot an arrow of good humor in yourday and aim for big projects
> Capricorne: For your next bbq ask your brocer for ram chops and fish
> Verseau: Fill your jug with joy to the point of making it overflow
> Fish: Don’t drown in your ocean of grief And live depend on a romantic date with your ex.
